Cyber laws workshop, Bhopal, 09-Jan-2006

Atul Chitnis will be speaking on "Open Source Software: Issues and Challenges" at the "Workshop on Cyber Laws and Cyber Forensics", to be held 6-10 Jan, 2006, conducted by the National Judicial Academy, Bhopal. Atul Chitnis will be the Conference Chair of FOSS.IN/2005, India's largest Free & Open Source Software conference. The event will be held from 29th of November to 2nd of December, 2005.

Atul Chitnis will be speaking at the MSR Institute of technology on November 25th, 2005, on "The impact of FOSS" and "Innovation using FOSS".

Atul Chitnis will be speaking at PES Institute of Technology on November 24th, 2005, on getting jobs in the IT industry based on FOSS involvement.

CXOlinux, Bombay and Delhi (25/27 Oct)

Atul Chitnis will be the keynote speaker at the "Linux Wins" CXOlinux event on the 25th October, 2005 in Mumbai, and on the 27th October, 2005 in New Delhi. He will be speaking about the impact of Linux and FOSS on business, and how corporations can benefit from the adoption of Linux and FOSS in their operations.

IDRBT, Hyderabad (10-Jun-2005)

Atul Chitnis will be speaking at the Workshop for Valuation and Management of ICT-IPRs at IDRBT, Hyderabad, on Friday, the 10th of June, 2005. He will be speaking about "Open Source is not Public Domain", clearing the air about licensed and unlicensed software, and how Open Source does not mean loss of copyright by developers.

DQ CIO Summit on Mobility (31-May-2005)

Atul Chitnis will be participating in the Dataquest CIO Summit on Mobility, on Tuesday, the 31st of May 2005, at the Le Meridien hotel, Bangalore. He will be participating in the "Mobility and Productivity" panel discussion.

NIE Mysore (08-May-2005)

Atul Chitnis will be speaking at the National Institute of Engineering, Mysore, at the Ankura 2005 techfest, on Sunday, the 8th of May 2005. He will be speaking about the Open Source Desktop, and will address some of the myths and misconceptions about this subject.

SJCE Mysore (02-Apr-2005)

Atul Chitnis will be speaking at the national level technical symposium "TechnologiX-2005", at the Sri Jayachamarajendra College of Engineering, on Saturday, the 2nd of April. The subject of his talk will be Free and Open Source software, the opportunities that FOSS provides in the industry, and how students can participate in it.

NIT Calicut (29-Jan-2005)

Atul Chitnis will be speaking at the National Institute of Technology, Calicut on the 29th of January. He will be speaking to students at the NIT about Free and Open Source software, and the opportunities that FOSS provides in the industry today.
